The situation within the PiS and the Civic Coalition. Krzysztof Brejza and Jakub Stefaniak comment

Krzysztof Brejza, MEP Citizens' Coalition, and Jakub Stefaniak from PSL-TRYSIA, discussed in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 about how presidential elections in Poland could affect the situation within Law and Justice and inside the ruling coalition.

Brejza stated that “these are elections to be or not to be PiS and Mr. Kaczyński.” – This is already a fight for a heirloom after Kaczyński. You can see these disputes. You can see that the bulldogs that have fought under the rug so far came out onto the carpet. On the one hand, the Ziobra fraction, (on the other – ed.) Morawiecki. Great corruption scandals follow each. After all, we are talking about RARS scandals, on the other hand the Justice Fund. These people are already fighting for a position, for a heirloom after Jarosław Kaczyński – said the representative of the KO.

– I am convinced that Rafał Trzaskowski will win the election – the most prepared, competent, experienced, responsible man who will proudly represent Poland and cooperate with the government. And the coalition will manage – he continued.

Jakub Stefaniak said that “elections are primarily a feast of democracy.” – Every political environment has a chance to present their candidate. As I understand, although he hides it carefully, Mr. Nawrocki is a PiS candidate. And I think that Poles have already experienced what Poland has looked like during PiS rule for the last eight years – said the representative of PSL.

– And perhaps the fact of hiding this party signboard shows that this victory of Mr. Nawrocki PiS is not sure. However, of course, this candidate is not allowed to be underestimated – he added.

He also said that in his opinion these choices should not be seen through the prism of “being or not to be” the ruling coalition. – I have the impression that it will be or not to be Polish also in the international arena (for – ed.) Our position. Because today, as the mentioned coalition, we are doing everything to rebuild this position of Poland, which for eight years, in 2015-2023 was successively destroyed – he said.

MEP Brejza also referred to the situation of February 6, when the wife of Zbigniew Ziobro in the European Parliament, Patrycja Kotecka from Hiding recorded his conversation with MEP Dariusz Iński. Kotecka appears on the website of the European Parliament as an assistant to Patryk Jaki, Jacek Ornament and Daniel Obajtek.

Brejza also published a recording of the MEPs meeting with Kotecka.

– Until now, in the European Parliament there was no situation that the assistant to the MP decorations or what private conversations of other deputies recorded. This is a sensation – said Brejza.

– I have to explain who Mrs. Kotecka is, because no one has seen her at work so far, but when she has already appeared, she appeared with her passion, which you can say, she has DNA – said MEP. He stated that Kotecka resembled a more “lively pegasus” and not a “professional official of the European Parliament”.

Jakub Stefaniak said that “that environment definitely likes in recordings and eavesdropping.” “It can also be a simple form of attempt to intimidate or break out of the rhythm,” he added. He stated that it was “inelegant” when journalists or, as he described it, “pseudo -Żóbnikarze”, attach cell phones to people who record very close to their faces.
