Football fans have always had constant arguments about who is the best football player world. Undoubtedly, one of the determinants is the price that clubs would have to pay to acquire a given player. This can be estimated based on many factors. It deals with, among others, the German industry portal Transfermarkt.de, which constantly updates the market values of players from around the world. After Tuesday's update, there was a radical change.
Haaland outclassed Real's stars. Mbappe's record equaled
This is at the very top of the list of the most valued players. There has just been a big change in the leadership position. So far, it has been occupied by four players – Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland. They were all valued at EUR 180 million. Now the value of the latter has gone up again.
The Norwegian striker for Manchester City is worth as much as EUR 200 million in the latest ranking. Thus, he overtook three Real Madrid players. Their value has not changed. At the same time, Haaland equaled the best result in the history of this ranking. Previously, only Kylian Mbappe was valued at this amount. This took place from December 2018 to April 2020.
Here are the most expensive footballers in the world. Poles are far behind
Two other Premier League representatives are currently in further places. Fifth is Phil Foden from Manchester City (EUR 150 million), and sixth is Bukayo Saka from Arsenal (EUR 140 million). The joint seventh place with PLN 130 million is taken by Rodri (Manchester City), Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) and Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen). Rounding out the top ten with EUR 120 million are Lamine Yamal (FC Barcelona), Federico Valverde (Real Madrid) and Declan Rice (Arsenal).
And how were Polish footballers valued? We won't find any in the top hundred. Currently, the “most expensive” is Jakub Kiwior from Arsenal – EUR 30 million (253rd place in the world). It's supposed to be worth two million less Matt Cash from Aston Villa, and Piotr Zieliński from Inter completes the podium – EUR 22 million. Robert Lewandowski among Poles, he is only fifth with the amount of EUR 15 million. Marcin Bułka from OGC Nice (EUR 20 million) is still ahead of him.
