On Tuesday, the investigation commission of the American coast guard – US Coast Guard Marine Board of Investigation (MBI) – shared a sound recording, at which you will most likely hear the moment of implosion of the Titan submarine. The recording was registered and transferred by the National Ocean and Atmospheric Administration (Noaa) in 2023, when the tragedy occurred. Since then, MBI has been investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident in this matter.
The 23-second recording was recorded by one of the passive acoustic sound recorders located at a distance of about 900 miles, or about 1450 km, from the place where the implosion occurred, the coast guard told.
