During Smolaste's concert in Nysa there was an unexpected confession from the interested party himself. – Listen, you know what, I have no voice at all. (…) I can just go down to all of you and talk to you – he told the fans, interrupting the concert. – My manager put me on this tour where I fucking have two shows a day. I have to travel all over Poland, I'm barely alive, I'm f**king going to f**k him up, I'm firing him today and just don't let anyone take advantage of you, okay? (…) I'm totally exhausted and I'm barely alive, I need to be hooked up to an IV to play a show for you here. I love you for being here. – he added. We decided to discuss this topic with the artists from the group Afromental during the autumn conference TVP.
Tomson and Baron react to Smolaste's busy schedule. Surprising response
We asked musicians what is more stressful and time-consuming – performing TV program or maybe a concert tour? – A different level of fatigue and adrenaline. Here we have “groundhog day”, because we sit in the studio for five days and repeat the formula from morning till night – he began Baron. – The route is such a twisted adventure. We know what will happen, but not the end – he added Thomson. They also indicated what they thought about two concerts a day. – Depending on how someone wants to use their voice, themselves and their energy. These are individual issues. One will last longer, another will get tired physically, a third will simply break mentally after a whole month. Everyone is capable of breaking – explained Tomson. – We have to know our limits before we start such plans – he added. Baron mentioned that in Afromental's career, they sometimes played two concerts a day due to the tour.
It is a challenge for the body, but at the end of the day, if you do what you love, you are not working, you are just developing your passion, so I am all for it.
– he replied. Who do you agree with? Photos of Afromental musicians from the schedule can be found in the gallery.
