The concept of the first episode is the same as before. The casting studio differs only in colors, and the jury composition remains unchanged. The participants have been supported since the 13th edition not only Michal Pirogbut also Sofia Konecka-Menescalwho made it to the grand finale last season. The model, who is less than 170 cm tall, proved that despite not being the ideal height for this industry, you can still develop a career in modeling, which certainly lifted the spirits of many candidates applying for a place in the house “Top Model”. This season, we learn from the previews that there will be no shortage of obstacle courses, embarrassing sessions, and special guests – among others Żabson and Malwina Wędzikowska. “Top Model 13”. It's not about looks?!
The new season begins with an opening credit, which introduces the jury and some of the participants. This year, there was no unnecessary ceremony – first, some black-and-white frames with the program's permanent crew, and then some footage from the set. It came out very fashionable, aesthetic and enigmatic due to the covered faces of the show's participants. The winner can still count on PLN 200,000, a contract with Selective Management and a cover shoot for “Glamour”. It will be interesting to see whether this package will ultimately go to an athlete, a plus-size model or maybe a drag queen, but first things first… Each of the casting participants could of course count on the creativity of the jurors and a pile of spicy comments. – Change that hairstyle, because you look like a hamster – said to Tymoteusz, famous for his cut language Marcin Tyszka. The “Top Model” program continues to emphasize that it is not the canons of beauty that are sought, but PERSONALITIES. The attention of the judges was therefore drawn to Mateusz, who fulfills himself as a drag queen. After telling a story that intertwines one parent's lack of understanding with a simultaneous dream of becoming a professional actor, Joanna Krupa fell head over heels in love with him. What can be said about the attitude of “Top Model” towards plus-size models? Once upon a time, it would have been unthinkable, but today there is definitely a place for this type of beauty in the format. Katarzyna Sokolowska she herself stated that “Ola has a beautiful body”. The participant received four blessings, thus fulfilling her dream of moving on to the next stage of the program. Family dramas and ignorance of the jurors, or four “yes” votes
Confessions are regularly made in front of the cameras of “Top Model”. At the very beginning of the 13th season we heard several moving stories – an independent mothera drinking problem or getting up at 2:30 a.m. to help with the family business. One of the law students with the cover beauty and difficult childhood moved on. The green light from the jury was also given to a rapper from Wilanów, who at the first stage of the casting on Zoom could not even name all the jurors… Fortunately, he was already prepared for the confrontation with them in the studio. He may not have known Woliński or Tyszka recently, but he had good proportions. The first episode also featured a participant with the “body of a sinner”but despite her enthusiasm, she did not go further… The classic maneuvers of the program included fanning sympathy and even minor tensions in front of the cameras, which stop viewers. The footballer Filip posed for the judges in the company of a model, who eagerly embraced him. The session took place in front of the participant's girlfriend, which did not reflect well on her, as the cameras showed. Let's hope that in the next episodes there will be more emotions, as well as strong characters and interesting issues served up by the reliable judges. Interjecting a quote Joanna Krupy, “stop dreaming, start believing”. We therefore believe that the next episodes will simply be stronger.
