Two fatalities and one person who was hospitalized – a tragic accident occurred on the second day of Christmas in Borucin in the Kartuzy poviat.
The incident occurred after 10.00 on the county road at the exit from Borucin towards Kamienica Szlachecka.
“The police's preliminary findings show that the driver of the VW Passat did not adjust his speed to the prevailing road conditions, as a result of which he drove to the right on a curve in the road, drove into the opposite lane and hit a tree,” said the Provincial Police Headquarters in Gdańsk.
As a result of the incident, the driver of the Passat and his 23-year-old passenger, a resident of Kartuzy County, died. There was also a 30-year-old man traveling in the vehicle, who was transported consciously to the hospital.
The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the accident.
