Emergency measures concern the protection of the use of gas and energy resources and the ban on energy exports. Now the decree must be approved by the local parliament. This issue will be considered on December 11.
Fears of a shortage of raw materials from Russia result from: Ukraine's decision o not extending the contract for the transit of Russian gas to Europe after 2024. The current contract expires at the end of 2024. In turn, Moldova receives gas from Russia under a contract valid until October 2026.

From the end of 2023, all the raw material will go to Transnistria, from which Moldova obtains most of its electricity.
