What is this plan – President Zelensky does not want to reveal until he personally presents it to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Zelensky flies to Washington next week. This week, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, was in Kiev. She promised that the EU will support Ukraine financially.

The sick, many with mobility disabilities, were unable to escape or defend themselves in any way. Seniors from a nursing home in Sumy were staying in a building that was attacked by a Russian precision-guided bomb.

“Russians hit a five-story building of a geriatric center in Sumy. The technical floors were partially destroyed. 147 people were evacuated from the building. There are no people under the rubble. One person died, 12 were injured,” reads the entry of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on the X service.

Photos posted on social media after the attack showed elderly people lying on blankets and temporary beds in front of the building. They were later transported to other facilities around the country.

– It was not a military base or a military facility. To date, Russian forces have used almost 90 precision-guided bombs on our cities and military positions. We will certainly take revenge on the Russian army for this terror – said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Ursula von der Leyen promised support

Russian troops have repeatedly attacked Sumy Oblast in recent days, primarily destroying power systems. This has forced authorities in some regions to switch to emergency systems. According to the Ukrainian Energy Ministry, 10 regions have been completely deprived of power supplies. The heating season begins in two weeks.

On September 20, the head of the European Commission arrived in Kiev with the EU plan for the coming months. She announced additional support worth around 160 million euros, which will help cover over 25 percent of the country's electricity needs. She also announced that Brussels will provide Kiev with support worth 35 billion dollars. The loan will be secured by Russian assets frozen in the West.

– This is a huge step forward. We are now confident that we will be able to deliver this loan to Ukraine very quickly. The loan is secured by frozen Russian assets – said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Indian ammunition on the Ukrainian front

Volodymyr Zelensky is demanding a second peace summit this year. He has his own, as he calls it, victory plan, which he intends to present to Joe Biden at the earliest opportunity.

– I will discuss all the details of the peace plan first of all with the president of the United States. Most of the decisions included in the plan depend on him. As for other allies, too, but there are some points that depend on the goodwill and support of the United States. I hope that this plan will be supported – said Volodymyr Zelensky.

On September 24, the Ukrainian president is scheduled to attend the UN General Assembly in New York. He plans to meet with US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

On September 19, Reuters reported that Indian ammunition has been arriving on the Ukrainian front for a year. It is not known whether it is coming directly from India or from somewhere else. The world's most populous country has maintained good relations with Russia for decades. On the issue of war, at least officially, it maintains a neutral position.
