Russia brought war to our land and should feel what it has done, President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Thursday. On Tuesday, Ukrainian forces broke into the Kursk region in Russia, which borders Ukraine.
President Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky informed on Thursday after a meeting with the highest military command that he had listened to the reports of the commander of the Armed Forces, General Oleksandr Syrsky, and concluded that “they are exactly what our state needs”.
Zelensky stated that Ukrainians are capable of achieving their goals. “We did not decide to pursue our goals in war. Russia brought war to our land and should feel what it has done. We, in turn, want to achieve ours as soon as possible in times of peace, provided there is a just peace. And so it will be,” the president emphasized.
On Tuesday to Kursk region in Russiawhich borders Ukraine, was invaded by Ukrainian forces, who are still fighting there today. The media, citing Russian officials, reported that about 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers with tanks and armored vehicles, covered by drones and artillery, entered Russian territory.
