IMGW is still warning about violent weather. In many regions, first degree alarms apply to strong winds, icing and frosts. In the east and south of Poland, snowfall is expected during the coming night.
Synoptics of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued warnings of the first in a three -stage, growing scale.
First degree warnings IMGW – strong wind
Yellow alarms apply in voivodships:
- West Pomeranianin the Sławno poviat;
- Pomeranian; excluding the extreme southwestern poviats;
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the following poviats: Braniewski, Elbląg, ElblągGołdapski, Ełcki, Piski and Szczycieński;
- Podlasie;
- Mazowieckieoutside the poviats in the western part;
- Kuyavian-Pomeranianin several poviats in the north;
- Greater Polandin Konin poviats, KoninKolski, Turkish, Kalisz;
- Łódźin the south of the region;
- Silesianexcluding the extreme southwestern poviats;
- Lesser Poland;
- Świętokrzyskie;
- Podkarpackie;
- Lublin;
In these regions, a strong wind with an average speed of up to 35 km/h, gusts up to 80 km/h, from the north and north-west, are forecasted.
The warnings will be up to 10pm on Saturday or 1 on Sunday.
First degree warnings IMGW – snowfall
Snowfall warnings were issued for voivodships:
- Mazowieckiein the following poviats: Łosicki, Siedlce and Siedlce;
- Podlasiein the following poviats: Hajnów, Bielsko and Siemiatycki;
- Lublin;
- Lesser Polandin the south of the province;
- Podkarpackieoutside the poviats in the northwestern part.
IMGW forecasts snowfall, causing snow cover in places about 5 cm, and in Podkarpackie and in Lesser Poland up to 10 cm. Periods are possible snowstorms.
The alarms will expire on Sunday depending on the region at 1.00, 7.30 or 10.00.

- Kuyavian-Pomeranianin the following poviats: Nakielskie, Sępoleński, Tuchola, Bydgoszcz, Bydgoszczsecular, Grudziadz, GrudziądzChełmiński, Toruń, Toruń, ToruńWąbrzeski, Golub-Dobrzyński, Brodnicki, and Rypiński;
- Mazowieckiein the following poviats: Żuromiński, Mława, Ciechanów, Przasnyski, Makowski, Ostrołęka, Ostrołęka;
- Podlasiein the following poviats: SuwałkiSejnyński, Augustów, Sokólski, Moniecki, Grajewski, Łomżyński, Łomża, and Kolneński.
A decrease in air temperature to about -1 degrees Celsius is forecast, at the ground to -3 degrees C. The warning will be in force from 23 on Saturday to 7 o'clock on Sunday.

What is the first degree meteorological warning
According to the IMGW definition, the first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and a threat to health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of threat, including delays caused by traffic difficulties, disturbances in outdoor events or the possibility of their dismissal. Recommended caution, the need to track messages and the development of the weather situation.
