Russian troops can use a possible 30 -day suspension of weapons to prepare an extensive offensive on a large scale – warns the American Institute of War Studies (ISW). As noted in the analysis, the current layout of the front line does not give the Ukrainian army sufficient strategic depth to repel the next attacks of the Russians.

According to the analysts of the Washington Research Center, the Russians are building a car route and a railway line to strengthen the connection network between Russia and cities in Ukrainian occupied areas. In the ISW assessment, this will allow the Russians to additionally consolidate their power in these areas.

As emphasized in the latest Think Tanku analysis, Russian troops can use a possible 30-day suspension of weapons to prepare a large-scale offensive, including crossing the Dnieper River. According to American experts, this could result in breaking the current front line and threaten important cities currently controlled by the Ukrainian side, including Zaporozhye.

Russian troops are located 30 kilometers from Kharkov and 25 kilometers from the Zaporozhone, which means that Europeans and Americans will have to deliver Ukraine Even more weapons and do it even faster – so that Ukrainians are able to repel the attack of the opponent – ISW said.

Safety guarantees from the USA remain unprofessional

Mike Waltz, President's safety advisor USA Donald Trumphe announced on Sunday on Fox News that Ukraine would receive security guarantees in exchange for territorial concessions. A representative of the White House did not clarify how these guarantees and concessions would look like.

During his speech, Waltz noted that in diplomatic conversations about the ending wars in Ukraine Washington will take into account “realities on the battlefield”. ISW pointed out that the Russian authorities have repeatedly used this phrase when they talked about the situation on the front and territorial gains of the Kremlin in Ukraine.

If a weapon suspension would mean the “freezing” of the current front line, then significant European forces would be needed to repel possible future Russian attacks. At the same time, if Ukraine could bounce some strategically important territories, as suggested by US President Donald Trump, this could “reduce the costs” of a possible room for Kiev and West – emphasized the center.

The report reminded that despite the negotiations, Moscow did not want to make any concessions regarding the territories seized in Ukraine. The representatives of the Kremlin repeated many times that they did not agree to the presence of the troops NATO countries In this country and they cannot imagine that Kyiv could join the alliance.
