Photos of Russian soldiers in front of Chinese ZFB-05 armored vehicles have appeared on the web. The authenticity of the photos was confirmed by the correspondent of the German newspaper “Bild” in Ukraine, Julian Roepcke. He noted that the Russians are using these vehicles in Ukraine for the first time.
The Chinese have such vehicles in their own army, but they also export them to other countries in Asia, Africa and South America. According to the German journalist, the ZFB-05 vehicles could have reached Russia through one of these countries.
Chinese Components in Russian Weapons? Beijing Denies
Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities reported that more than half of the foreign components of Russian weapons used against Ukraine come from China. “If we take the most commonly used types of weapons and count the foreign components, it turns out that about 60 percent of them come from China. We had long discussions on this with some manufacturers,” reported Vladislav Vlasyuk, an advisor to the President of Ukraine. “China is the biggest problem,” he added. Some parts came from the United States, the Netherlands, Japan, Switzerland and other Western countries.
According to the presidential adviser, the European Union could do more to limit Russia's access to some components. According to Vlasyuk, the Russians use state-owned company Rosatom, among others, to obtain parts. Meanwhile, China, which has strong trade relations with Russia, denies supplying weapons to anyone. Beijing says it is not involved in the war in Ukraine in any way.
War in Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky will reveal the “victory plan”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who flew to the United States on Monday, will present the American president with a plan that is supposed to lead to victory in the war with Russia. Its main assumptions are to be presented to Joe Biden during a meeting between the two leaders scheduled for this week.
The statement, issued by Volodymyr Zelensky ahead of his U.S. visit, outlined three pillars of a “victory plan.” It includes continued arms deliveries from the West, diplomatic efforts to force Russia to agree to peace, and holding Moscow accountable for its full-scale invasion that began in February 2022.
Volodymyr Zelensky intends to present his plan to Congress and the two candidates who will compete in the upcoming US presidential elections: Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump. “The fall will decide the future of this war,” the Ukrainian president wrote in a post published on the X platform.
At the same time, he announced that there was no consent from Great Britain and the United States for Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russia. Earlier, the European Parliament called on EU countries to lift this ban.
