In Warsaw's Wola district, a pitbull dog attacked a 17-year-old girl. The victim was taken to hospital with facial wounds, the capital's emergency services reported on social media.
The incident took place just before 5 p.m. on Miedziana Street. “The patient has a deep wound to her nose and lower lip and requires surgical intervention, therefore, by decision of the head of the Medical Rescue Team, she was taken to hospital,” we read in a post by the Provincial Emergency Medical Service Station “Meditrans” in Warsaw on Facebook.
The rescuers also wrote about the circumstances of the incident. “Initial findings indicate that the dog's owners went away and left the dog in the care of a neighbor. Her child went for a walk with the dog and then the animal attacked a 17-year-old girl,” we read.
The police have already determined that the dog has outdated vaccinations, because the last one – for rabies – was performed in June 2022.
