An indictment in the case of an ABW officer, who – according to investigators – entered the crowd of protesters against the ruling of the Constitutional Tribunal in the case of abortion of October 2020.

ABW officer Paweł K. will be in front of the court that, acting in a possible intention, exposed four people to the immediate danger of severe damage to health. “The accused entered the BMW 320 passenger car in a crowd of protesting people on the street, in which victims were located, causing two of them injuries constituting a health disorder and violation of body organ activities for a period of below 7 days” – says Piotr Skiba, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, in the published communication.

The accused did not admit to committing the alleged act and – as investigators inform – he submitted “very extensive explanations”.

As prosecutor Skiba informed, the man is suspected of the fact that “on October 26, 2020 in Warsaw at the intersection of Puławska and Goworka streets, acting in a possible intention, he exposed four people to the immediate danger of heavy damage to health in such a way that he entered the BMW 320 passenger car in the street. victims, causing two of them injuries that are health disorder and violation of the body organ for below 7 days. “

“The demonstrators concentrated on the road road, preventing the drivers from moving. Among the waiting for the journey towards Pl. Unia Lubelska, there was, among others, suspicious Paweł K. driving a BMW 320 vehicle” – says Skiba.

The accused (he is still an officer of the Internal Security Agency) approached demonstrators.

The prosecutor's office points out that at the time of moving, none of the demonstrators had any physical contact with the body of his vehicle.

Four injured persons

“The vehicle of the accused was slowly approaching the demonstrators, entering the crowd at that moment, a number of people from the crowd, also in front of the vehicle's mask, leaned against the mask of the vehicle, trying to force the driver to immediately stop the vehicle and not continue driving straight ahead” – the prosecutor's office determined.

Among the people trying to stop the vehicle was one of the victims of women. The vehicle, however, continued the driving, slowed down, then accelerated by passing through the crowd, which led to the overturned woman, and the vehicle drove her foot.

“Moreover, the car hid the left mirror with another injured woman who, making efforts to stop the vehicle, caught this mirror, but lost her balance, which is why she grabbed the door of the vehicle at the height of the windshield. A cyclist standing in it, whose identity was not established ” – we read in the communiqué.

The accused officer, when he drove through the crowd of protesters, reached the pedestrian crossing several dozen meters away. “For his direction of travel, a red light signal was displayed before this passage. The prosecutor's office decided that there was no crime

The decision led to protests in many cities in Poland.
