Warsaw. Magazine fire with kayaks on Modlińska

At Modlińska Street near the Żerański Canal, a magazine with kayaks took place. Firefighters are fighting fire.

We received the first information about the event on Contact24. “A very large fire in Warsaw at Modlińska, around the Żerański Canal. The cloud of smoke, unfortunately, goes south, i.e. at the center of Warsaw” – wrote the reader.

The information was confirmed by the fire brigade. – We just got there. Our hosts proceed to extinguish the fire. It is a warehouse and production building, where kayaks and boat equipment are most likely stored – after 20 o'clock the younger captain Radosław Leśnik from the capital's fire brigade told us.

After 21 o'clock, the fireman said that the fire is not yet controlled. 25 hosts are fighting with him. – The fire is in the development phase. Two people tried to extinguish him on their own before the arrival of our units. One was slightly injured and moved away, and the other was examined in an ambulance – added the younger Captain Leśnik.

As the TVNwarszawa.pl reporter found out, Artur Węgrzynowicz, the injured person is a man aged about 50. “He was smoke tubular and had light burns,” he said.
