The capital's police officers secured the match at the National Stadium between Poland and Scotland on Monday. Just before the event, an 11-year-old boy who got lost in the crowd approached the officers. The boy was clearly scared.
An 11-year-old child approached police officers from the riot police station on duty near the National Stadium.
He couldn't find a guardian
It turned out that the 11-year-old had wandered away from his guardian just before the start of the match and could no longer find him. The policemen took the child to the police car, took care of him, and gave the boy warm tea and cookies.
“The 11-year-old told the police what happened and who he came to Warsaw with. The child gave the officers the phone number of his guardian, and the police called him and explained where the boy was,” we read in a statement from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
After several minutes, the man came to the indicated place and took his charge from the police. A moment later, they both went to the stadium to watch the match.
