Synoptics of the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) issued first degree warnings on a three -stage, growing scale.
First degree warnings IMGW – frost
Alarms were issued in voivodships:
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship;
- Podlasie (in the north of the region);
- MazowieckieKujawsko-Pomorskie and Greater Poland, in poviats in the north;
- Pomeranian,
- West Pomeranianin the southeastern part of the region.
A decrease in air temperature to about -1 degrees Celsius is forecast, at the ground to -3 degrees C. Alarms will be valid on Friday from 23:00 and expire at 7.
First degree warnings IMGW – strong wind
Yellow alarms apply in voivodships:
- West Pomeranianin the Sławno poviat;
- Pomeranian; excluding the extreme southwestern poviats;
- Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship;
- Podlasie;
- Mazowieckie;
- Kuyavian-Pomeranianexcluding extreme western poviats;
- Greater Polandin Konin poviats, KoninKolski, Turkish, Kalisz;
- Łódźoutside the Wieruszów poviat;
- Silesianexcluding the extreme southwestern poviats;
- Lesser Poland;
- Świętokrzyskie;
- Podkarpackie;
- Lublin;
A strong wind with an average speed of up to 35 km/h, in gusts up to 80 km/h, from the north and north-west, is forecast.
The warnings will be in force from 10 and 1pm to 8pm and 10pm.
What is the first degree meteorological warning
According to the IMGW definition, the first degree warning provides for conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that can cause material losses and a threat to health and life. Conducting activities in conditions of exposure to these factors is difficult and dangerous. Expect difficulties resulting from conducting activities in the area of threat, including delays caused by traffic difficulties, disturbances in outdoor events or the possibility of their dismissal. Recommended caution, the need to track messages and the development of the weather situation.
