– Poland fell under the influence of a shallow low-pressure bay associated with the low pressure from the North Atlantic – says tvnmeteo.pl weather forecaster Arleta Unton-Pyziołek.

On Friday, the cloud cover will be moderate and large. In the north-east, east, and also in the south and south-west of the country, there will be occasional rain showers of up to 5-20 liters per square meter, in some places it will thunder. The maximum temperature will be from 28-29 degrees Celsius in Pomerania and Warmia, through 32 degrees Celsius in the center of the country, to 33 degrees Celsius in the south-east. The wind will be south-westerly, weak and moderate, strong only during storm.

In the coming days, as the weather forecaster predicts, our country “will remain in a stream of hot tropical air, while at the same time the western and northern ends will be in the zone of a waving atmospheric front.”

– A typical summer storm front, or line of storms, will become active over Poland. Behind it, a cold atmospheric front will push from the west, pushed towards us by air masses from the Atlantic, which is why there will be a lot of cumulus clouds, showers and storms. In places of stronger clash between heat from the south and cold from the north-west, the phenomena may be violent – he points out.

Saturday will bring moderate and heavy cloud cover. Rainfall of 10-30 l/m2 and storms will move from the southwest into Poland. It should not rain only in the eastern regions. The thermometers will show from 26°C in Pomerania, through 32°C in the center of the country, to 34°C in Podkarpacie. There will be a weak and moderate wind from the south.

Moderate cloudiness increasing to heavy is forecast for Sunday. Showers of up to 5-30 l/m2 will move inland from the west, and there will be thunder in places. Generally, the day will pass without precipitation in the southeast. The maximum temperature will reach from 24°C in Western Pomerania, through 30°C in central regions, to 35°C in Podkarpacie. There will be a weak and moderate wind from the east and south, only during storms – strong.

On Monday, initially, cloudiness will be moderate, and later it will increase to large. Periods of rainfall of up to 10-40 l/m2 will occur, and in some places also violent storms with strong wind. Thermometers will show from 24 degrees Celsius in Pomerania, through 30 degrees Celsius in central Poland, to 34 degrees Celsius in the Podkarpacie region. The wind will be variable, moderate.

Tuesday will be marked by small and moderate cloudiness. In the southern regions it will increase to large and there will be showers of up to 5-30 l/m2 and storms, especially in the mountains. The maximum temperature will be from 26 degrees Celsius in Western Pomerania, through 28 degrees Celsius in the central part of the country, 30 degrees Celsius in Małopolska. There will be north and east winds, weak and moderate.
