As the forecaster said IMWM Ilona Śmigrocka, the cooling will be most felt by the inhabitants of south-eastern Poland. In this area, it will be almost 10 degrees cooler on Sunday compared to Friday, when thermometers showed around 22 degrees.
Weather for the weekend. The temperature drop is coming
Lower temperatures are expected across the country. – On Saturday, the temperature will rise to 19-20 degrees in eastern Poland, and on Sunday in most of the country it will be only 15 degrees, although in some places the thermometers will indicate 11-12 degrees – predicted Ilona Śmigrocka. The forecaster added that the coming nights will be cold. In the west, the minimum temperature will be only 5-6 degrees. However, in the Sudetes Valley, the temperature at ground level may drop below zero.
On Saturday, the feeling of cold will be intensified by strong winds. Gusts may approach 60 kilometers per hour across the country. On the coast, winds of up to 95 kilometers per hour will blow. Forecasters appeal to residents of northern regions to be especially careful because such strong winds may not only break trees, but also uproot them.
The heavy rains are back. No threats in flood areas?
Ilona Śmigrocka points out that heavy rain will also be a threat rain in the southeast. – These are the Lesko and Bieszczady counties in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. It will start raining today, and by tomorrow, during the whole day, up to 50 liters of water per square meter may fall – said the forecaster. She added that sleet is forecast high in the Bieszczady Mountains, and up to five centimeters of snow may fall in the Tatra Mountains on the night from Saturday to Sunday.
Forecasters do not forecast significant rainfall for areas affected by flooding. In the west and southwest they will be weak and fleeting. However, there will be enough rainfall in the southeast
