Manufacturers tempt us with more and more durable screens, but the truth is that even latest Gorilla Glass does not guarantee safety. So let's think about additional protection. Just what to choose to have really good protection?
Tempered glass
Although it is quite delicate in itself, that's it Tempered glass best protects the phone from falling. It owes it to a special production process – the material is heated to over 400 degrees, and then quickly cooled. Thanks to this, it becomes several times stronger than ordinary glass.
They have 9h hardness – In practice, this means that even the keys or coins in their pockets will not outline them. A decent glass is an expense of several dozen zlotys, but it's really worth it. The cheapest ones often distort the image and reduce the screen sensitivity to touch.
Protective foil
On the market you will find several types of it. Ordinary polycarbonate films are indeed quite basic – they protect mainly against scratches. Hydrogel films are much more interestingwhich can “heal” small features. Just wipe the surface with your finger, and the micro -of them disappears.
Hybrid glass
Hybrid glass is a modern solution on the screen protection market, combining foil flexibility with tempered glass strength. It is thinner and lighter than classic glass, which ensures a better fit, especially to rounded screens. Its biggest advantage is safety – unlike tempered glass, it does not fall into sharp pieces after cracking, but remains in whole or is damaged.
How to choose the best solution?
It all depends on how you use the phone. You work physically or you have a small one kids? Bet on tempered glass – it will give the best protection against falling. Do you wear a phone in your keys pocket? The hydrogel foil will protect against scratches. And if you have a curved screen, hybrid glass will be a perfect compromise. Remember, however, that in addition to screen protection, you also need to have a good cover – then the protection will be the best.
