Windmill act: On Friday, March 21, the Council of Ministers adopted a circulation of the Act on wind farms on land, which was submitted by the Ministry of the Climate and Environment. “This is an important step in the government's pursuit to reduce electricity prices in Poland. We introduce solutions that will support the production of energy from renewable sources, “said the head of the ministry Paulina Hennig -Kloska.
What will change? The bill allows the bill set windmills at a distance of 500 meters (instead of 700 meters) from buildings. Also abolishes Principle 10hintroduced in 2016. It is a ban on building windmills at a distance of less than 10 times their height. In turn, the minimum distance from the turbine from the border of the National Park is to be 1500 meters, and from specific areas Natura 2000 it will be 500 meters.
Faster investments and modernizations: The Act will accelerate investment processes in new wind farms from 5-7 years to 3-5 years. In turn, modernization will be shortened from 5 years to 2.5 years – Paulina Hennig-Kloska said during a press conference.
