Fourteen people, aged three to 78, were admitted to hospitals after Christmas Eve dinner. They experienced dizziness and balance problems, and some vomited. It turned out that all of them had traces of marijuana in their bodies, according to the police.
This event took place in a small town near Zambrów in the Podlaskie Voivodeship. Onet was the first to report this.
A family of fourteen people sat down for Christmas Eve dinner together (10 adults aged up to 78 and four children aged three and over). After eating the Christmas food, they felt bad. Onet reports that they experienced dizziness, balance disorders, and some vomited.
Initially, the fire brigade and ambulance were called; Judging by the symptoms, the family reported suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. However, firefighters did not detect any threat of this type and ended their activities. It was assumed that there was poisoning of unknown origin. Ambulances took family members to hospitals for tests. Food poisoning was suspected. The information provided by the hospital was surprising and caused the police to also investigate the case.
Marijuana in the body
– Fourteen people aged three to 78 in one of the towns of the Zambrów district were taken to nearby hospitals on Christmas Eve. We received information from the hospital that there were traces of marijuana in their bodies, said Staff Sergeant Agnieszka Ulman from the Provincial Police Headquarters in Białystok.
The police are now explaining the circumstances of this incident.
At the moment, there is no information about the health condition of these people.
