– I assume that (Ziobro – ed.) It will be in Poland today, but he will not bet on the commission. This is certain because this committee, in the opinion of Minister Ziobro, mine, also many people, is an illegal commission – said Wójcik, answering the question of whether Zbigniew Ziobro returned to Poland to a meeting of the investigation commission.

On Monday, the former Minister of Justice said that he was abroad on rehabilitation, but “is going to show Poland.”

Interrogation of Zbigniew Ziobra

Ziobro is to be questioned by the Investigative Commission, which aims to examine the legality, correctness and purposefulness of operational and reconnaissance activities undertaken, among others using Pegasus software. The commission is designed, among others, to determine who was responsible for the purchase of Pegasus.

Ziobro has not yet entered the committee meeting four times. The former head of the Ministry of Justice believes that the Sejm inquiry commission for Pegasus is illegal and as such cannot apply to the court for its forced contention. Ziobro refers to the judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal, which on September 10, 2024 found that the scope of the activity of the PEGASUS investigative commission was unconstitutional.

In the justification published on Thursday by the District Court in Warsaw, the court did not share the claim that the content of the September judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal, there is no entity having the right to apply to the District Court for a decision on detention and forced bringing a witness to the committee meeting.
