Szczęsny's son helped him decide to end his career
Wojciech Szczęsny recently gave an interview to Paulina Krupińska. In “Dzień dobry TVN” he revealed that before deciding to end his career he discussed it with his wife. – Such decisions are discussed with the family, but in this case I was a bit alone, because as you can probably guess, everyone was trying to convince me to make a different decision.. (…) But I knew. Once I make a decision, it's hard to convince me – viewers of the breakfast show heard. Interestingly, the goalkeeper confessed that his wife Marina was not thrilled with the fact that her beloved wanted to retire from football – Marina is used to having a husband who goes to work every day and has his own routine, and that's how it worked for so many years. She thought it was a bit too early – Szczęsny emphasized. However, his son, Liam, had a different opinion and finally convinced his father that this decision was right. –Before making the final decision, I asked him if he would be sad if I ended my career, he said, “No. Cool. You'd be home all the time.” And I knew that I wouldn't change my mind from that moment on. – added Szczęsny.
