The eighth round of Ekstraklasa was marked by two big hits. The first one took place on Saturday, when Lech Poznań competed with Jagiellonia Białystok. In the duel between the leader Leagues and the current national champion was better, the first one, who won 5:0. “Can they already quote the meme in Poznań “not now mom, the machine has started”? Maybe, because Lech Poznań looked like a machine in the clash with Jagiellonia” – we wrote in the post-match report. Lech is moving away from its rivals in the Ekstraklasa table. What a mess around the Cracovia – Pogoń match

The Lech-Jagiellonia clash was not the only Saturday match that took place in the Ekstraklasa. At 14:45 Lechia Gdansk played at home with Radomiak Radom and won 1-0 with a goal Camilo Meny from a penalty. Earlier, Damian Sylwestrzak made a huge mistake, blowing a penalty when Maksym Chłań defeated the Radomiak goalkeeper. The referee was therefore very lucky. Thanks to this victory, Lechia got out of the relegation zone.

The first thing to mention about Saturday's second match is that it took place at all. Initially, it seemed that the Cracovia vs. Pogoń Szczecin match would not take place. “The entire Małopolska province received an RCB alert about heavy rainfall and flood risk. IMGW also issued a third-degree warning for Krakow about downpours and storms” – we informed on the website. In the end, the match took place, but without the presence of security, so the mass event was not secured. Despite this, Cracovia won 2:1 against Pogoń after goals by Mikkel Maigaard and Virgil Ghita.

Two matches were played on Friday. Motor Lublin won 1-0 with a goal by Christopher Simon. This was the first triumph Motor at home in the Ekstraklasa for 32 years. In the second Friday match, GKS Katowice drew 2:2 with Widzew Łódź. On the home side, goals were scored by Oskar Repka and Marcin Wasielewski, while on the visiting team – Imad Rondić and Jakub Łukowski.
