The weather in Poland on Sunday was dynamic. Two tornadoes were recorded in Wielkopolska. The phenomena can be observed on recordings.
The weather in Poland was dangerous, with parts of the country experiencing storms. In addition to the rainfall associated with the Boris Genoese low, on Sunday in the province Greater Poland tornadoes appeared.
Tornadoes in Greater Poland
One of the phenomena occurred in the town of Biadki near Krotoszyn. The second tornado was recorded in the area of the town of Dobrzyca in Pleszew County.
As tvnmeteo.pl weatherman Damian Zdonek reported, on Sunday there were conditions for the occurrence of such phenomena, both in terms of air humidity and wind. Information about the appearance of tornadoes was also provided on social media by Polish Storm Hunters.
Fire brigade spokesmen from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Krotoszyn and Pleszew told tvnmeteo.pl that they had recorded isolated reports of fallen trees in southern Wielkopolska. None of them were related to the passage of a tornado.
From morning to 5 p.m., Greater Poland firefighters recorded 77 interventions, mainly caused by strong winds. In 14 cases, they were called to pump water.
