On the freely flowing middle Odra, water levels are forecast to increase: in Ścinawa, Głogów above the alarm level, in Nowa Sól, Cigacice and Nietków to exceed the warning level, and in Połęck to exceed the alarm level. Below the mouth of the Nysa Łużycka, the water level will rise to the high water zone with the possibility of exceeding the warning level in Biała Góra and Słubice.
“In the catchments of the upper Odra tributaries, stabilization and decreases in water levels (with possible fluctuations) are generally forecast in the high water zone, in sections above warning or alarm levels. In the mountain and foothill catchments of the left-side tributaries of the middle Odra, decreases in water levels are generally forecast, while in the lowland catchments, increases and fluctuations are mainly forecast, generally in the high water zone with exceedances of conventional levels. Increases in levels are forecast in the zone above alarm levels in the mouth sections of the Oława and Ślęza,” indicated IMGW in a press release.
According to the Institute, on the lower Widawa, it is possible that the water level will increase to warning level and then to alarm level, while in the mouth section of the Bystrzyca, the water level will remain above alarm level.
“In the mouth section of the Barycz, water levels are on the rise. On the middle Bóbr (up to Szprotawa) and Kwisa, water levels are falling. On the lower Bóbr, a further rising trend is forecast with a significant exceedance of alarm levels. On the lower section of the Lusatian Neisse, the forecast is for the alarm level to be exceeded with an increasing trend,” it was written.
