Paramedics described a dramatic operation in Mokotów on social media. Police officers were attacked during an intervention, a shot was fired. Three people were taken to hospital.
The incident took place on Wednesday, September 18, after 10 p.m. in one of the apartments on Jana Bytnar Rudego Street in Warsaw. It was described on social media by rescuers from the Provincial Emergency Medical Service Station “Meditrans” in Warsaw.
They described the scenes they saw as if they were from a gangster movie. According to their account, a 35-year-old man attacked police officers who intervened in the apartment with a machete. They used their weapons, a shot was fired.
Three people were taken to hospital
“The dispatcher sent emergency medical teams to the scene. The rescuers found three injured people: two policemen with cut wounds from blows with a sharp instrument and a man with a gunshot wound,” they wrote. “We immediately began medical rescue activities. All patients were transported to hospitals by decision of the EMS manager due to their injuries,” they added.
We asked the Metropolitan Police Headquarters about the case. The officers briefly confirm that an incident occurred and reassure: the police officers have already left the hospital.
