On Tuesday, October 1, the possibility of submitting applications under the “Active Parent” program, i.e. the so-called grandma's. Office Premiere published the first statistics related to grandma.
Grandma's – a new “Active Parent” benefit is launched. How many people have submitted an application to ZUS?
From today you can submit applications to ZUS-uo “Active Parent” benefit. By 12.30 exactly 75,285 applications had been accepted. 84 percent of them were received via PUE ZUS and mZUS – the Prime Minister's Chancellery reported on the platform X. More than 570,000 children are expected to benefit from the grandmother's program.
Under the granny benefit, i.e. the “active parents at work” benefit, working parents are entitled to PLN 1,500 per month (or PLN 1,900 for a child with disabilities) to cover the costs of child care for two years – from the twelfth to the thirty-fifth month of age.
The second option is “actively in the nursery”. The benefit is PLN 1,500 per month or PLN 1,900 for a disabled child. This is co-financing for a child's stay in nurseries. Applies to children up to three years of age. The “actively at home” benefit is PLN 500 per month for a child from twelve to thirty-five months of age. Applies to parents who raise a child at home. The benefit replaces Family Care Capital.
How to submit an application to ZUS for grandmother's benefits?
The Social Insurance Institution accepts applications for grandmother's benefits only in electronic form. This can be done by:
- PUE ZUS/eZUS,
- mZUS mobile application,
- Emp@tia portal of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy,
- bank (if it has such a service).
For one child per month, you can only receive one of the three available “Active Parent” benefit options. Money anyone can receive it, regardless of the family's financial situation. ZUS does not collect any tax or contributions from the benefit.
