“Our Eurofighter fighters were picked upto identify and escort together Russian Il-20Mwhich had no flight plan or transponder,” the Lufhtwaffe said in a message published on social media.
The operation was successful. There was no security risk.
The plane spotted is Il-20M used for operational reconnaissance. The equipment was manufactured during the Soviet Union.

The Ukrainska Pravda website reminds that fighters will fly from October 21 to 27 NATO conducting airspace patrols in the Baltic states they were hit on six times to identify and escort Russian aircraft that violated air traffic regulations.
