Bogdan Klich will begin his mission at the Polish Embassy in the United States in the coming days – confirmed the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, on Saturday in Rokietnica (Greater Poland Voivodeship). On Friday, Klich announced on social media that he resigned as a senator due to his appointment as the embassy's minister plenipotentiary-chargé d'affaires.

Wroński: Klich met all formal criteria
At the beginning of November, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Paweł Wroński said that Klich had met all formal criteria and had been approved by the Sejm Foreign Affairs Committee as a candidate for the Polish ambassador to the USA. He added that Klich also received consent from the American side to take over the post, he went through all the procedures resulting from the act amended by PiS and he will represent Poland.
