What is it about: November 27 during the meeting Sejm A citizen's bill on the Central Communication Port was submitted for consideration by the infrastructure committee. She had previously filed a KO application to reject this project, however has been withdrawnso the Speaker of the Sejm referred the project to further consideration wash.
Project details: The citizens' bill on the Central Communication Port was submitted by the association “Yes for CPK“. The project was collected 193,132 votes. The project commits to the implementation of the program CPK in the form contained in the resolution of October 24, 2023. This is about establishing a multiannual program – “Central Communication Port Investment Program. Stage II. 2024-2030”. The project also included some restrictions for the governmentamong others regarding reducing the financing of the program from bonds, as well as making changes resulting in a delay in the launch of key elements of the investment.
What is to be accomplished: The document also obliges public authorities to build key elements of the CPK Program, i.e airport in Baranów near Warsaw and railway line Warsaw-Łódź by the end of 2030. The project also requires the transfer of all civilian traffic from Chopin Airport to the Central Communication Port until June 30, 2031.
