According to the press office of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Krakow, on Tuesday at 11 p.m., police were called to an apartment in Krakow's Kazimierz, where a quarrel had broken out. Firefighters helped the police get into the apartment. Inside were a 24-year-old injured woman and a 23-year-old man. The woman was taken to hospital, where she died. On Wednesday at 6 a.m., a man who was staying at the police station at Szeroka Street grabbed the gun from a policeman and shot himself.
The course of events in the apartment before the intervention is not yet known, nor is it known how the 23-year-old managed to snatch the gun from the policeman. The circumstances of this case are being investigated.
