The government's plenipotentiary for post-flood reconstruction, Marcin Kierwiński, announced that over PLN 2.85 billion from the state budget was allocated as part of aid activities for flood areas.
“As of December 9, over PLN 2.85 billion from the state budget was committed as part of aid activities for flood areas,” Kierwiński said on the X platform.
Last week, Minister Kierwiński announced the amount of PLN 2.6 billion transferred from the budget to help flood victims.
For many weeks, flood victims from various regions of the country reported great problems with receiving help. Among other things, many of their applications for reconstruction funding were waiting in queues.

At the end of November this year Ministry of Interior and Administration reported that Poland applied to the European Commission for financial assistance in connection with the September flood, and the total amount of expenses and losses incurred in infrastructure is over PLN 13 billion.

Due to the scale of the disaster, on September 16, the government introduced a state of natural disaster for 30 days in part of the province. Lower Silesia, Opole and Silesia, and then expanded it to other areas, including the provinces. Lubuskie.
