A2 motorway near Poznań. There was no corridor of life. Firefighters started the barriers to get to the accident

The services had a problem with getting to the accident site that occurred on Saturday on the A2 motorway near Poznań. One person was injured in the collision of six cars. On the renovated section of the route, drivers did not create a corridor of life, which is why firefighters had to start the barriers to get there. One of the policewomen arrived on foot.

The accident took place on Saturday before 11 o'clock. As TVN24 informed, young asp. Łukasz Kędziora from the press team of the Greater Poland police, on the A2 motorway near Poznań – on the road towards Warsaw – six cars collided. One person was injured.

– Unfortunately, access to the services to the scene was difficult. The services were in a long traffic jam and could not get there – said Kędziora.

There was no corridor of life

Difficulties were related to the renovation and the fact that drivers did not create a corridor of life conducted on this section. Travel problems can be seen on the recording recorded by a webcam placed in one of the fire trucks.

Young asp. Kędziora informed that in connection with the difficulties one of the policewomen arrived at the scene of the accident on foot. The policeman initially told that in order to unblock the route for emergency services, firefighters cut the barriers separating the belts.

Firefighters dismantled the barriers

However, as young brig. Kamil Witoszko from the Poznań fire brigade, the barriers were not cut off, but they were unscrewed. – The services worked quite quickly and started the barriers so that the motorway corking cars could go to the opposite lane and create a journey for the services – he said.

Renata Rychlewska, spokeswoman for Motorway Operation, confirmed in an interview with TVN24 that the barriers were dismantled. – Car traffic from the opposite direction was suspended, and the cars that formed a cork towards the accident went against the tide. Then they returned to the right lane behind the accident – she reported.
