Until February 20, entrepreneurs can change the form of taxation. Those who decided to change the form of taxation and made an appropriate statement at the Tax Office in electronic form should check its correctness.
Pursuant to the regulations, entrepreneurs continuing their activities in the new tax year may change the previously used form of taxation to another. They have until February 20.
To make such a change, they must make an appropriate statement to the head of the tax office in which they settle. The document can be submitted in person or electronically.

“Based on my experience, I advise entrepreneurs to check if their statement has been correctly made. It is best to verify this by making sure that we have received a returnable UPO, which confirms the correct submitting the application”-we read in the commentary of the tax advisor from e-pity. pl Monika Piątkowska.
She added that entrepreneurs are often convinced that they completed all the formalities, but due to, for example, a shipping error, the statement did not reach tax authorities on time.
“Then it is very likely that in some time the tax office will report to us, demanding the payment of the correct income tax in accordance with the 'old' form of taxation along with interest for delay,” said Monika Piątkowska.
How to make a declaration of changing the form of taxation
Entrepreneurs who decide to make a statement by Cedig should choose the form “Statement on the form of income tax payment” and indicate one of the three available forms of taxation, i.e. taxation on general principles (so -called tax scale), flat or A lump sum on recorded revenues.
It is worth remembering that this choice means at the same time giving up the current form, and indicated new form applies to future tax.
A prepared online application by the portal business.gov.pl it is necessary sign and send. “Note that these are two separate activities: First you need to sign the application and then send the signed application ” – we read on the government.
How to check if CEIDG has submitted an application to the tax office
If the application has been correctly signed and sent, confirmation of sending the application will come to the e -mail address provided in CEIDG. In addition, on the entrepreneur's account, in the Mości tab there will be Official confirmation of receipt (UPO).
Then CEIDG will check that the submitted application contains correct data. After this verification, the application will receive the status “Application correctly adopted by CEIDG“(he will also be given the number) or the application will be rejected. Confirmation that the application has been correctly accepted by CEIDG will be confirmed by email.
CEIDG will only transfer to the tax office the applications that were correctly adopted in the register, i.e. they contained correct data and were correctly signed and sent by entrepreneurs.
