In Elbląg, a 73-year-old man drove his car under a tram. The man was taken to hospital with suspected broken ribs. The police confiscated his driving license. He was sober.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning on Pułkownika Stanisława Dąbka Street in Elbląg. The driver of a passenger car failed to yield to an oncoming tram.
– The driver turned left and drove into the path of an oncoming tram. He most likely did not notice it. The tram dragged the car a little over the tracks – informed Senior Inspector Krzysztof Nowacki from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Elbląg.

The man was trapped in the vehicle and was evacuated by firefighters. He was taken to hospital for observation with suspected broken ribs.
