“If you see an advertisement with my image, it will be a scam. Be careful and report such advertisements. Fraudsters are looking for your data and money,” added Paulina Hennig-Kloska.

She added that legal action has already been taken against the creators of false advertisements. “We reported the case to the Internal Security Agency, the prosecutor's office and NASK.”

Another warning

Recently, the Ministry of Climate also warned against opening links attached to false information about huge increases energy prices.

The ministry also pointed out that from July 1, the Act on the temporary limitation of prices for electricity, natural gas and district heating and on the energy voucher will come into force.

“Clicking on unverified links and false information about how to avoid drastic increases is one of the ways of phishing, fraud and disinformation activities aimed at causing panic,” explains the ministry. – explained the ministry.

How to deal with unknown links in messages

The Ministry emphasizes that before clicking on a link containing disturbing content, you should consider whether it contains suspicious content.

– Do not click on the links “how to avoid a drastic increase in electricity/gas/heat prices”. Solutions protecting individual recipients, local governments, nurseries, hospitals, and social welfare homes operate automatically, without submitting applications.

– Now there is no need to submit any applications. If you are interested in an energy voucher, only from August 1, 2024 will you be able to submit an application to the commune office / social welfare center.

– The maximum price for electricity will be extended for the second half of 2024. The price will be set at PLN 500/MWh regardless of consumption.

– In the second half of 2024, the current maximum price of PLN 693/MWh will be maintained for: local government institutions, public utility entities, e.g. schools, nurseries, hospitals and small and medium-sized enterprises.
