The Daily Guardian reportedthat thanks to a viral video on the X platform, users from all over the world could see an anomaly that is currently taking place in China. Cars with a special body wrapping film on them look as if large air bubbles were growing on them. It turned out that their appearance is related primarily to high temperature.
Cars in China 'Pregnant': Experts Explain Air Bubbles
User Inconvenient Truths by Jennifer Zeng on Portal X shared a peculiar post on August 6 of this year. In it, she included a short video showing cars in China whose wrappings had swollen due to the heat.
The experts at Wrap Guys responded to the video and explained that high temperatures and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can weaken the durability and appearance of car wraps. Heat can cause the wraps to swell, stretch, and even fade despite the UV protection layers. The experts also emphasized that regular maintenance of the wrap is essential to maintain its quality and durability.
Users comment on unusual situation. “I wouldn't want it to break”
Since its publication, the post Inconvenient Truths by Jennifer Zeng has already collected over 750 thousand views, over 3 thousand likes and almost 400 comments. Most users pointed out that the person responsible for the post, who called the cars shown as “made in China”, was supposedly mistaken about that. Among the cars were German Audis.
The rest of the internet users also focused on the main problem shown in the video, which is the lack of sufficient protection of the car foil. “I wouldn't want it to burst, you don't know if there are any chemical gases inside,” commented one of the X users. “Do you have any ideas on how to release the air from these swollen car foils in an emergency?” asked another internet user, who unfortunately did not receive an answer.
