IMGW warns of downpours. On Tuesday, the threat may be heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms. In some places, the alarms will be in force until the afternoon.

Forecasters from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMWM) issued first degree warnings.

First degree IMWM warnings – heavy rain with thunderstorms

Heavy rain is expected in parts of the country storms. First degree alerts ahead of him were issued for the following provinces: Pomeranian, West Pomeranian (counties: Sławno, Koszalin, KoszalinBiałogard, Szczecinek) and Subcarpathian (counties: Bieszczady, Lesko, Sanok).

Moderate rainfall is forecast, with periods of heavy rainfall. The amount of rainfall in places will be from 35 to 45 liters of water per square meter. The rainfall may be accompanied by storms with wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour. Hail may also fall.

The alarms will expire on Tuesday – at 8 a.m. in Podkarpacie, at 11 a.m. in Western Pomerania and at 6 p.m. in GdaÅ„sk Pomerania.

First-degree warning predicts conditions conducive to the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and threaten health and life. Caution is recommended, the need to follow messages and the development of the weather situation.
