Hezbollah announced “a transition to a new, escalatory phase of confrontation” with Israel. This declaration was made a day after the Israeli army confirmed the killing of Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas allied with Hezbollah.

Shiite Hezbollah also stated that since the beginning of the ground operation in Lebanon on October 1, Israel's losses amount to 55 soldiers killed and over 500 wounded.
Israeli attack on Lebanon
Israel has been conducting a land operation in southern Lebanon since the beginning of October, declaring that its goal is to eliminate the threat from the organization. Hezbollah has increased its shelling of the Jewish state's northern zone following the outbreak of the war in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli armed forces said they killed several hundred Hezbollah fighters, including the group's top leadership, and eliminated much of the group's military potential. However, the Lebanese media and authorities report that a large proportion of the victims are civilians. About 1.2 of Lebanon's 5.5 million inhabitants have fled their homes because of the war.
