Israeli fighter jets and drones attacked Lebanon

Beirut came under attack by Israeli fighter jets and drones on Sunday. A total of eleven raids were carried out. Israel attacked, among other things, the offices of the Al-Qard Al-Hassan financial and credit association cooperating with Hezbollah.

In the last hours, Israeli fighter jets and drones carried out 11 airstrikes on the capital Lebanon. Four point air strikes were directed at the buildings housing the offices of the Al-Qard Al-Hassan financial and credit association. This institution supports the Hezbollah organization by managing its finances. It has over 30 branches in Lebanon, including 15 in Beirut.

On Sunday evening, Israel announced precision air attacks on facilities in Lebanon belonging to financial institutions associated with Hezbollah. Residents of the Lebanese capital were asked to evacuate areas near these facilities, said Daniel Hagari, spokesman for the Israeli army.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army reported that about 200 rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel on Sunday. The shelling was allegedly carried out by fighters of the Shiite organization Hezbollah. Several rockets were fired towards Haifa – the largest port city in northern Israel.

On September 23, Israel launched the “Arrow of the North” military operation against Hezbollah formations in southern Lebanon. As a result of one of the air attacks on September 27 in Beirut, the leader of Hezbollah, Hasan Nasrallah, was killed. At least 1.2 million people have fled Lebanon because of the conflict.
