Waters on Capri has been out since Saturday morning due to a network failure. Mayor Paolo Falco issued a regulation under which tourists are not allowed to come to Capri. As he explained, in the current situation it is impossible to guarantee basic services to thousands of people visiting the island every day.

Currently, water reaching residents comes from local reservoirs where there are reserves, but they may run out at any time – emphasized in the local government's announcement.

Water problems also persist in the Sorrento area – reported local media from the Campania region in southern Italy.

Heat in Italy. Anticyclone Minos does not let up

Italy have been struggling with the dramatic effects of the Minos anticyclone for the last week. Red, the highest heat alert, was in force on Friday in eight towns: Perugia, Frosinone, Latina, Rieti, Anconie, Campobasso, Palermo, and also in Rome.

The Italian Society of Environmental Medicine (SIMA) warned of an extremely serious situation in Sicily. Temperatures may reach there in the coming days 40 degrees Celsius in the provinces Agrigento i Syracuse and 39 st. C in the provinces Katania i Ragusa.

The warning level means that heat is so large that it threatens the health and life of not only people from risk groups, i.e. seniors, children and chronically ill people, but also others, including fully healthy residents.
