Equipped with cleaning equipment, they set off into the forest. One group immediately saw two bags placed under large stones. The contents of the bags aroused the suspicions of one of the students, who notified the teachers accompanying them.
With them were several Carabinieri, including the captain of this formation, invited by the organizers to talk to the youth about environmental protection. The carabinieri immediately realized what was in the bags. Inside they found 45 packages of hashish, the black market value of which was estimated at about EUR 40,000, the newspaper added.
The drugs were confiscated and an investigation was launched to determine who hid them.
