A 19-year-old reported that he had been attacked by masked men who blocked his path in a black BMW. The perpetrators allegedly smashed the car window and stole money. It turned out that he had made everything up because he wanted to take some of the company's cash. He was charged with several offences.
A few minutes after 3 a.m., the officer on duty in Kłobuck received a report about a robbery that had taken place on provincial road no. 492 between Wręczyca Wielka and Blachownia. According to information provided through the Provincial Emergency Notification Center, which operates the 112 emergency number, a 19-year-old delivery van driver was attacked by two masked perpetrators who first blocked his path in a black BMW, then broke the window in the van and attacked him. They stole a significant amount of money and drove off in the direction of Blachownia.
There were inconsistencies in the 19-year-old's story, the “stolen” cash was found in the bus
“Kłobuck uniformed officers, detectives from the police station in Wręczyca Wielka and a forensic technician were sent to the scene. Already at the initial stage of the conducted activities, experienced police officers began to have some doubts as to the account of the course of the event” – described the Kłobuck police in a statement. “Despite the emerging inconsistencies, the 19-year-old maintained his version of events for a long time, which collapsed when the police searched the van and found the allegedly stolen cash. It turned out that the 19-year-old had reported a robbery that did not take place, because he wanted to conceal the misappropriation of part of the company money being transported” – added.
Charges after a robbery that didn't happen
This was not the end of his troubles, as the police found amphetamines on him and determined that he was driving under the influence of drugs.
In the District Prosecutor's Office in Częstochowa he faced several charges: reporting a crime that was not committed and giving false testimony, driving under the influence of narcotics, possession of amphetamines, destruction of property by breaking the window of a van that was not his property, and misappropriation of money to the detriment of the company where he worked.
The prosecutor applied police supervision to him.
