A man was arrested on suspicion of attacking a saleswoman and stealing money from the cash register. He faces 12 years in prison.
The incident occurred a few days ago in the morning in one of the stores in Kozienice. According to the saleswoman, the man attacked her with gas, then took money from the cash register and fled.
After several hours of searching, the police detained a 39-year-old resident of the Kozienice commune suspected of committing a robbery. The man had drugs on him when he was arrested.
The court, at the request of the police and the prosecutor’s office, decided to apply pre-trial arrest for three months. Robbery is punishable by up to 12 years in prison.
