Meanwhile, Łukasz Rzepecki, adviser to President Duda, on Friday unexpectedly appeared at the election rally of Sławomir Mentzen. He announced joining the confederation and the support of her presidential candidate.

Journalists Konrad Piasecki, Agata Adamek and Arleta Zalewska talked about the split in the presidential camp on Sunday in the program “in lobby” on TVN24.

Declaration of war?

According to Adamek, “undoubtedly the presidential camp is decomposed”, and Rzepecki is looking for his place on the political stage after he leaves the Presidential Palace as an adviser to Andrzej Duda. – Looking at this, there are some people in the Presidential Palace who just live from sitting there for several years. And they have to sit somewhere later, hence they think about their future – said the journalist.

Piasecki pointed out that “Łukasz Rzepecki does not make political decisions without Marcin Mastalek”, the current head of the president's office. – Łukasz Rzepecki is not a minister, he is an adviser to Andrzej Duda, who is inseparably connected with Marcin Mastalerk – said the journalist. He said that he perceived Rzepecki's participation in the Mentzen convention “as a declaration of war by Mastaler Andrzej Duda and a very strong tightening of their contacts.”

Piasecki emphasized that Mastelerek – figure number two in the Presidential Palace – “he had, undisguised especially, the idea that the president would keep a similar distance to the confederation in this campaign as to Law and Justice and did not speak clearly either by Karol Nawrocki or Sławomir Mentzen.” – Let's say it simply: Marcin Mastalerek did not participate in making this decision – said the journalist, referring to Nawrocki's support by Duda.

– Not only did Marcin Mastalerek not know when this decision was made that such support would be, but we know that there were secret meetings between Karol Nawrocki and Andrzej Duda, where the gentlemen got to know each other outside these official meetings, which Marcin Mastalek did not know about – Arleta Zalewska revealed.

– Perhaps it will work out somehow. I talked to one of the presidential ministers. He says: maybe today is not the best, but in a moment And Andrzej Duda will recognize that it is good that he manages his people and the confederation, and Law and Justice – reported Piasecki.

He added, in this way, after the end of the term of office Andrzej Duda – who so far has no idea outside Polish politics – “he will have his people here and here and here, which can pay off.” – But today I would say that if Marcin Mastalerek survives as the head of the Presidential Cabinet until August 6, i.e. until the day Andrzej Duda from the Presidential Palace will move out, it means that the relations between them are really strong and these ties between them are able to overcome everything. Even such explicit disloyalty as Rzepecki's participation in a meeting with Mentzen and in the Mentzen election campaign – said Piasecki.

According to the unofficial information of Arleta Zalewska, President Duda “knew that Rzepecki was going to this rally (Mentzen) and was to support him, but he was not happy.” – What's more, Rzepecki is sent on vacation – added the journalist.
