An accident involving paraglider in the Małdyty commune (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship). The 28-year-old fell during landing from considerable height. The paraglider was pinned to the quad, which was led by his father. The man with broken limbs went to the hospital by helicopter.
The accident occurred on Sunday (March 20) around 6pm in the Małdyty commune in the Ostróda poviat.
According to police officers, a 48-year-old man driving a quad, he towed a pinned paraglider with his son. These were training flights that took place on the agricultural plot belonging to men.

He suffered fractures
– The paraglider did not have any drive. It was used by a 28-year-old. During landing at the last of the training sessions for unexplained reasons, the 28-year-old fell to Earth, from a height of several meters. An LPR helicopter was summoned, which took the man to the hospital in Olsztyn. The man suffered fractures of the limbs – told the commissioner Anna Karczewska, press officer of the Poviat Police Headquarters in Ostróda.

Policemen explain the circumstances of the incident. – We will determine whether men have the rights to take such flights and whether Sunday flights took place in accordance with the regulations, including those regarding training – said the subcommmberler Karczewska.
