On January 7, sad news about the death of Mirosława Marcheluk circulated in the media. The esteemed actress gained popularity primarily thanks to her role in the cult comedy “Seksmisja” directed by Juliusz Machulski. The star's death was first reported by the Filmpolski.pl portal via a post on Facebook.

A touching entry appeared on the website's Facebook profile, saying goodbye to the Polish star movie. “Mirosława Marcheluk, an excellent actress, graduate of the National Film School in Łódź and a long-time lecturer at the Film School's Acting Department, director of the New Theater in Łódź, has died,” we read. The entry states that she made her debut in 1958 movie “Wedding Night”. Her most important roles, both on screen and in theater, were mentioned. It's certainly impossible to forget about her role in “Seksmission”. In the movie she played Her Excellency's Advisor. Her role in Aniela in Filip Bajon's “Pendulum” also deserves special attention. For this performance, she won the award for the leading female role at the Polish Film Festival in Gdańsk in 1981.
The information about Marcheluk's departure was confirmed to Onet by Katarzyna Bieńkiewicz from the Nowy Theater in Łódź. Krzysztof Szuster added a few words. “A wonderful friend who plays a lot in Łódź… Yes, I can confirm that,” the president of the Association of Polish Stage Artists told the portal.

Mirosława Marcheluk graduated from the State Higher School of Film, Television and Theater. Leon Schiller in Łódź in 1960. We could watch her on stage for years. First in Opole, and later in Łódź. She has had over a hundred roles under her belt. She also played in the Television Theater. Marcheluk in the years 1990-1993 and later in the years 200802010 she was the director of the New Theater in Łódź. She took part in educating subsequent generations. She lectured at universities such as: PWSTviT in Łódź, the University of Humanities and Economics in Łódź, the Major Seminary in Łódź and WSKSiM in Toruń.
