Paulina Tworzyańska started her career at the age of just 13, when she won a casting for movie “The Lady with a Wet Head”, defeating three thousand candidates. Director Kazimierz Tarnas confessed years later that he had no doubts about choosing the person who would play the title role. Tworzyańska became the muse of director Kazimierz Tarsan, who was convinced that he would also cast her in other screen adaptations of Kornel Makuszyński's novels.
I played music, set up cameras and observed how the candidates behaved, how they established contacts with each other. After this stage, a group of 10-12 people remained. I already had acting tasks for them. Until the end, two girls had the greatest chances: Paulina Tworzyańska and Anna Powierza. Tworzyańska won. The deciding factor was… the eyes. Today, Paulina Tworzyańska is a psychology graduate and runs her own psychotherapy practice. As she confessed in an interview, she came up with the idea in the third year of high school, but she doesn't really know why she decided to study this particular field.
I wanted to be in direct contact with patients, I wanted to support. I wasn't interested in advertising psychology or other, more prestigious fields, for example. But I won't tell you why psycho-oncology, because I don't know. I chose intuitively.

Paulina Tworzyańska gave up acting. What was the reason?
What could have been the reason for giving up her career? The young actress did not like the backstage of fame. “I was already a bit tired of the fact that everyone knew me as 'The Lady with the Wet Head' from the film, and that in church children looked at me instead of at the altar, that I was recognized in the street. I did not feel good about it,” Paulina Tworzyańska admitted years later in an interview for “Gazeta Wyborcza”.
